The Miami Police Department said an officer's foot was run over during a traffic stop by the driver of a stolen vehicle who has been arrested along with another suspect after a chase.
As the unidentified officer approached the driver during the traffic stop, the driver sped off to flee – running over and injuring the officer's foot.
Officers chased the vehicle and stopped it in the area of NW 4th Avenue and 6th Street. The two people within the vehicle were arrested.
MPD said it confirmed the vehicle was stolen, adding that the injured officer was being evaluated at Jackson Health System's Ryder Trauma Center.
