Mobile Home Engulfed in Flames, Man Hospitalized

A Broward man is suffering from critical burns and smoke inhalation after his mobile home was engulfed in flames Friday evening around 7 p.m., according to deputies.

The unidentified man received the burns while trying to rescue his dogs that were inside his mobile home located at 5299 SW 22 terrace.

The man was airlifted to Memorial Regional Hospital and was later transported to the burn unit at Jackson Memorial’s Ryder Trauma center where he is currently being treated.
One dog was rescued from the fire.

The home is completely destroyed and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
