One Dead, Two Others Injured Following Shooting at Lauderhill Nightclub

A person is dead after being shot and killed at a Lauderhill nightclub.

Officials said the incident happened at Club 54 on Broward Boulevard and Southwest 31st Avenue around 2:30 in the morning Sunday.

“Imagine everybody just on you, like trying to get out of one club, out of one door,” said Maquesa Mahabier, a witness. “It was crazy. People were on the floor. People’s crying. People lost phones, wallets… That boy died.”

Lauderhill Police said several people were taken to Broward Health Medical Center. Two people suffered minor injuries and another died.

“My homegirl pushed me, so I’m like ‘What is she pushing me for?’ She seen the fight so she pushed me. We heard ‘tuk, tuk, tuk.’ Me and her were on the floor and I came out because I was one of the first ones out,” said Mahabier. “People were stacked upon each other.”

Police have not yet identified the victim and have not released any information regarding a suspect.
