Sexual Battery Suspect Arrested, Another Still At Large

The second suspect is still at large.

Broward Sheriff's Office detectives arrested a man who admitted to the sexual battery of a Lauderdale Lakes woman.

Christopher Baker, 24, of Wilton Manors, was arrested Thursday and is currently being held on no bond, according to online jail records. He is charged with sexual battery and robbery with a firearm.

The second suspect is still at large.

On Feb. 9, the two men approached a 48-year-old woman while she was waiting for a ride to work from a coworker.

One of the men on a bike pointed a gun at her and forced her behind the bushes of a One United Bank at 2412 North State Road 7, according to the sheriff's office.

The second man chocked and hit her. Both then proceeded to sexually batter her.

Police say the pair took of with the woman's purse and cell phone.
