It was a close call for some detectives in North Miami Beach after they were shot at while investigating an anonymous gun bounty tip late Monday night.
The incident happened shortly after 10 p.m. at a home in the 15000 block of Northeast 14th Court, according to Miami-Dade Police.
Police said the detectives were approaching the house when several suspects opened fire on them before barricading themselves in the home.
A SWAT team was called in and after several hours, the standoff ended and the suspects surrendered. A total of seven people were taken into custody, including five men and two women, police said.
Police didn't identify the suspects or what type of weapons, if any, were found in the home.
No officers were injured in the incident, which is still being investigated.
