    In the wake of Wednesday’s horrific school shooting in Parkland, police activity in the area is shutting down several busy roads – and drivers are advised to avoid those routes.

    Loxahatchee Road will remain closed from Parkside Road to University Drive while Coral Ridge Drive will remain closed in both directions from the Sawgrass Expressway to Heron Bay Boulevard.

    Coral Springs Drive is closed from the Sawgrass Expressway to Trails End.

    Officials expect many of these roads to be closed for most of Thursday and possibly longer.
