Sketch of Suspect in Sex Battery of Teen in Lauderdale Lakes Released

Authorities are searching for a man they say sexually battered a 16-year-old girl in Lauderdale Lakes.

The incident happened the morning of Jan. 22 in the 3000 block of Northwest 41st Street when the suspect approached the girl near Boyd Anderson High School, Broward Sheriff's Office officials said.

The man spoke with the teen then drove her to an unknown location where the battery took place.

Authorities describe the suspect as about 5-foot-10 with a medium complexion and a Jamaican accent. He had a full beard and was partially bald. The suspect drove a mint green hybrid 4-door with a gray interior.

A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with info is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
