Authorities in Palm Beach County detained a suspicious person at the Navy Reserve Center in West Palm Beach.
NBC affiliate WPTV reports that the bomb squad was called in after the person carried two backpacks into the area.
The center was evacuated, and Belvedere Road was shut down between Military Trail and Congress Avenue.
The bomb squad and arson unit later deemed the area safe and officials said personal items were found in the bags.
