Authorities on Tuesday asked for the public's help to catch thief who walked into a convenience store, punched an employee several times, left and then returned to rob the business.
The incident occurred on March 4 around midnight at the Stop N' Shop in Lauderdale Lakes at 3991 NW 41St. Street, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.
The man walked behind the counter punched the employee, walked around the counter and left. He then ran back, jumped over the counter and demanded the employee open the cash register.
He grabbed money and left for good.
Anyone with information was asked to contact the Broward Sheriff's Office at 954 493 8477.
A reward of $1,000 was offered for information leading to an arrest.
