Violent Armed Robbery, Beating in Miami Caught on Camera

Police in Miami are looking for a suspect behind a violent armed robbery that was caught on camera.

A surveillance camera captured the robbery and attack that happened the morning of Feb. 3 in front of 1076 Northwest 29th Street.

Miami Police say two men had left a restaurant and were walking down the street when they were approached by the suspect, who was riding a bicycle. One victim said he was suddenly struck on the side of the head, causing him to lose consciousness and fall to the ground.

The footage shows the second victim running with his hands up and trying to get away from the suspect. The suspect caught up to the victim and starting beating him with a metal rod and kicking and stomping his head until he also lost consciousness.

Both victims woke up minutes later and found their property had been stolen. They were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where they were treated for their injuries.

The suspect was described as a white male with a thin build and full beard who was riding a cruiser bicycle with a black frame, chrome handlebars and a large white reflector on the rear wheel.
