2 Arrested in Violent Carjacking Caught on Camera at Miami Gas Station

The carjacking happened back on Sept. 19 at the gas station at 7055 North Miami Avenue

Police have arrested two suspects and are looking for a third after a woman was violently carjacked at a Miami gas station in a crime that was caught on camera.

The carjacking happened back on Sept. 19 at the gas station at 7055 North Miami Avenue as the woman was filling up her car and sitting in the driver's seat with the door open.

Surveillance footage showed one of the suspects approach the woman, pull her out of the car and throw her to the ground. The two other suspects got into the car and started to drive off with the gas pump nozzle still in the car, but the woman pulled it out.

The victim told police she knew the three suspects because they go to the gas station daily, and police issued a "be on the lookout" a short time later.

Less than an hour after the carjacking, officers found the woman's car and tried to approach a man who was with the vehicle but he fled on foot, police said. The man, later identified as 32-year-old Jeremiah Moore, was taken into custody.

According to an arrest report, fingerprints left in the car led them to a second suspect, 37-year-old Darrell Clinton Burns, who was arrested by U.S. Marshals on Wednesday. The third suspect hasn't been found.

Burns and Moore are facing robbery-carjacking and burglary with assault or battery charges. Attorney information wasn't available.
