Weekend Rundown: Coconut Grove Arts Festival & More

The Coconut Grove Arts Festival and the Miami International Boat Show are planned for this weekend

There is a lot to do this weekend in South Florida, and we put together a list of options that you may like.

Coconut Grove Arts Festival: Thousands will hit the streets of Coconut Grove this weekend for the 49th Annual Coconut Grove Arts Festival. Hundreds of artists will have art work on display along with food and live music.  The NBC 6 Miami team will also be on site greeting viewers.  The festival runs Saturday through Monday.  Tickets are $10.

Miami International Boat Show: The boat show kicks off  Thursday and runs until Monday. More than 2,000 boats will be on display.  Boats ranging from $1,000 to several millions dollars will be shown.  The event is spread over three locations, Miami Beach Convention Center, Bayside and Sea Isle Marina Yachting Center.  Tickets are $18. Children 15 and under get in free.

Kim Wayans: Actress and comedian Kim Wayans will be at The Miramar Cultural Center Friday performing her one woman show, “A Handsome Woman Retreats.” The story follows Wayans’ experiences at a retreat to battle panic attacks. The show starts at 8 p.m., tickets are $20.

Arnez J: You’ve seen him on Comedy Central’s “Make Me laugh,” Russell Simmon’s Def Comedy Jam and BET’s Comic View.  This weekend catch Arnez J at the Fort Lauderdale Improv Thursday to Sunday. Tickets are $20.

Bret Michaels: Poison’s lead singer and NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice is taking the stage at The Hard Rock Live Saturday night.  The concert starts at 8 p.m., doors open at 7 p.m.  Tickets range between $39 and $79. 

Pauly Shore: Comedian Pauly Shore is coming back to South Florida.  He will be at the Miami Improv Friday through Sunday.  Tickets are $22.
