A woman was caught in the crossfire as a shootout erupted outside a Lauderdale Lakes shopping plaza Saturday morning.
The shooting was reported at around 2:40 a.m. at Oriole Plaza, located along the 4400 block of North State Road 7.
According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, gunshots were fired between people inside two vehicles. During the gunfire, a woman was struck. She was rushed to Broward Health Medical Center.
Both vehicles fled the scene.
BSO deputies have not released a description of the vehicles or the suspected shooters.
