Arrests Made in Luxury Condo Burglary Ring in South Florida

Two suspects, believed to be part of an international burglary ring, were taken into custody Friday after attempting to board an international flight at Miami International Airport.

After an extensive investigation, the Bay Harbor Islands Police Department along with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, also arrested two suspects while a burglary was in progress in the City of Key Biscayne.

The suspects were identified as Venezuelan nationals, but their names have not been released.

The investigation, consisting of video surveillance and numerous hours of surveillance by undercover detectives, determined the suspects would come to Miami and burglarize luxury condos along the waterway from Juno Beach to Miami.

The group is responsible for an estimated $4 million of property stolen.

Further details into the investigation are expected to be released at a later date.
