There are so many pets in need of loving homes in shelters across South Florida but there is one that stands out among the rest at the Humane Society of Greater Miami.
The energetic 5-year-old is winning the hearts of everyone at the Humane Society, and while his good looks might not win you over, his charm will.
Chief, likely a Chinese Shar-Pei, was transferred from Miami-Dade Animal Services and is perfectly imperfect. He's looking for a home, possibly during Saturday's Clear the Shelters event.
"He is so cute and so sweet and really needs a home," Humane Society executive director Laurie Hoffman said.
Hoffman said Chief is friendly and even chatty, and is going to make a future owner very happy.
"He gives kisses, he wants to be near you and he howls, but when he howls it's almost like him saying 'good morning' or 'good night' to all of his friends here," Hoffman said.
