A boyfriend and his girlfriend found themselves behind bars after a confrontation on Miami Beach that started with an alleged stolen Lamborghini and ended with the two resisting arrest.

According to police, 27-year-old David Hines flagged down an officer to say that his girlfriend, 28-year-old Brianna Rodriguez, had stolen his vehicle. Officers later found the car, but did not release information on its condition.

Shortly after, officials say Hines became uncooperative and both he and Rodriguez fled the scene before eventually being found and arrested.

Hines was charged with battery on an officer and resisting arrest before being transferred to Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he was evaluated and later released. Rodriguez was charged with several counts that included resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance.
