Deerfield Beach Mayor Jean Robb is under investigation for reportedly misusing her elected position.
A release from the Florida Commission on Ethics said that there was probable cause to believe that Robb accepted a prohibited gift and received unauthorized pay.
A report found that Robb accepted $1,000 in donations to two charities from a luxury car dealership in the City, then attempted to obstruct the city's code enforcement efforts regarding that same car dealership.
The investigation also found that Robb used her position to help her church and pastor by gibing the pastor a City employee parking sticker, and also letting the church use City employees and equipment to clean the church parking lot.
Robb can take part in an informal hearing before the Commission, request a formal hearing before a judge, or she can resolve the matter whether by a stipulation, settlement or consent order.
