Ex-Miami Dolphins Player Among 280 Busted in BSO Operation

Igor Olshansky was released from jail on Friday

A former Miami Dolphins player was among 280 people arrested on Friday as part of a Broward Sheriff's Office bust of felons, drug dealers and prostitutes.

Igor Olshansky, 29, was arrested on a 19-gram marijuana possession charge, and released from jail on a $100 bond, The Miami Herald reported. It wasn't immediately known if he had an attorney.

Olshansky was discovered rolling a marijuana cigarette at his kitchen table, the arrest report said.

The bust was part of "Operation Cold Turkey,โ€ which consisted of more than 200 local, state and federal authorities working together in the two-day crackdown.

โ€œThey flooded the streets,โ€ said BSO spokeswoman Dani Moschella told the newspaper.
Authorities recoverd 15 weapons, about 2,000 Oxycodone pills, $35,000 in cash, among other items, the newspaper reported.

The sheriff's office said this was their biggest bust yet.

โ€œWe want them to stop crime cold turkey,โ€ Moschella said.
