Fatal Fight at Felt Lounge Caught on Tape

Brutal brawl ends at Miami Beach club in Philadelphia man's death

Police are looking for a man involved in a brutal fight outside a Miami Beach club that turned deadly Sunday night.

A shaky cell phone video captured the scene outside the Felt Lounge at 1242 Washington Ave. on the night of August 15.

Police said they received several calls of a fight inside the club, but by the time the video was taken , the men were brawling outside Felt.

Both of the main fighters fled the scene before police arrived, but one of the men, identified by police as 27-year-old Dontae Davis, was found and transported to Mount Sinai Hospital by Miami Beach Fire-Rescue. Davis, a native of Philadelphia, died the next day.

Now police are looking for the other man who fled the scene, described as a black male between 5-feet-6 and 5-feet-8, whose name may be Tim or Timothy. He sustained a severe injury to his right ear, police said, and may have bite marks on his shoulder and back.

Anyone with information on the fight is asked to call the Miami Beach Police Department at 305-673-7900 or Miami-Dade CrimeStoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
