It’s Fleet Week here in South Florida – a tradition when you can witness active ships typically deployed overseas.
This year a Navy ship, three Coast Guard cutters and a Marine unit will call Port Everglades home. Typically, there are four navy ships, but due to the recent federal budget situation that number was cut down.
Staff from the cutters and sailors will visit local schools and hospitals and they'll also invite the community to come take a look at military life.
