A northeast Florida man is suing the federal government over his inclusion on the No Fly List, asking for the chance to prove he poses no threat.
The Florida Times-Union reports that Zijad Bosnic, a U.S. citizen born in Bosnia, filed his suit Thursday in federal court.
Bosnic, a Jacksonville resident, was barred from returning home from Bosnia. He waited months in Sarajevo until he could return, and arrived home Wednesday.
Bosnic's suit asks for his removal from the terror watch list, and for a legal mechanism to be created mandating that the government provide reasons for why someone is on the list.
Bosnic, a truck driver, also lost a special ID card needed to access areas of Jacksonville's port because of his inclusion on the list.
