A father confronted a man who allegedly exposed himself outside of his daughter's bedroom window and then attacked him with a knife in Hialeah.
Lazaro Riestra, 52, was arrested early Monday in the 1400 block of West 41st Street, according to an arrest report.
Police said the father saw Riestra masturbating while looking into his daughter's bedroom window that night. The father made contact with Riestra, who then took out a knife and swung it at his direction, the report said.
The father was able to dodge the attack, police said. He ran after Riestra and restrained him until officers arrived.
Jose Lopez said he confronted the suspect after his wife told him she saw someone suspicious walking around outside.
"I was always afraid," Jose Lopez told NBC 6. "I was afraid but she's my daughter and for her I will give my life."
Riestra faces charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, lewd and lascivious behavior and providing a false name after arrest, according to online jail records.
He is set to appear before a judge in bond court.
