A Homestead man will be taking home more than $2,000,000 and it’s all thanks to a scratch-off game he bought at a gas station.
Paulo Marquez, 65, claimed the top prize in the “$2,500 A Week for Life” scratch-off game.
He purchased the winning ticket at the Krome Chevron, located at 23150 SW 177th Ave. in Miami.
Marquez chose to walk away with the one-time, lump-sum payment, totaling $2,040,000.
The new $5 scratch-off game has winning odds of one-in-3.95.
So far, the Florida Lottery has generated more than $784 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund in 2016-2017.
