Little Singer Gets Her Shot

Eight-year old gets to be singing sensation through Make-A-Wish

A young singer who hopes to make it big in the music business is getting the rock star treatment today thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of South Florida.

Little eight-year-old Victoria Lachman is being whisked from her Royal Palm Beach home in a limo and taken to a Miami recording studio today to lay down tracks for a four-song CD, including two original songs, a song by Miley Cyrus and a hit from the "Camp Rock" soundtrack.

Victoria wants to be a "singing sensation" and she'll get a little help along the way. Her in-studio coach will be Miami pop singer Ana Cristina, herself a music prodigy at the age of six.

The tough youngster has gone through a host of life-threatening medical conditions, undergoing five organ transplants on her stomach, pancreas, spleen, liver and small intestine.

Victoria is the 7,000th child to have her wish come true by the South Florida Make-A-Wish.
