Luke Warner, One of Hawaii's Most Wanted Fugitives, Arrested in Fort Lauderdale

A man who was one of Hawaii's most wanted fugitives after he skipped out on a 10-year prison sentence for meth trafficking was arrested in Fort Lauderdale, the U.S. Marshals Service said.

Luke Warner, 48, was arrested Monday by Fort Lauderdale Police on outstanding federal charges, officials said. He was expected to go before a U.S. Magistrate judge Tuesday and it's unknown if he's hired an attorney.

On Friday, Warner was lurking around the Galleria Mall and was arrested on paraphernalia charges, officials said. At the time of his arrest, Warner gave the fake name of Steven Scott and was released on bond.

Police later realized Scott was really Warner, and he was later found and arrested. Authorities said he was living in an apartment north of Downtown Miami and on the streets in areas where the homeless gather.

Warner was one of Hawaii's top 15 most wanted fugitives and has been on the run since April 2015. He has an extensive criminal history that includes armed robbery, theft, and weapon and drug possession.
