Man Arrested After Police Chase Ends in Crash in Miami

A man who led officers on a chase that ended in a crash in northwest Miami-Dade Sunday is facing charges, police said.

Angel Miguel Bruzon, 28, is charged with grand theft auto, aggravated fleeing and reckless driving, Miami-Dade Police said Monday.

Bruzon appeared in court Monday where he was ordered held on $15,000 bond. It's unknown if he's hired an attorney.

According to an arrest report, the chase began after an officer spotted Bruzon driving a 2007 black Nissan Altima that was involved in a carjacking case.

When the officer tried to stop the car in the area of Northwest 30th Avenue and Northwest 36th Street, it took off at a high rate of speed, running a stop sign and driving against traffic, the report said.

The driver lost control of the Altima and crashed into a building at 3499 Northwest 36th Street then crashed into a grey Camaro before it hit an unmarked police car and came to a stop, the report said. Bruzon was taken into custody.
