A man was arrested in Deerfield Beach for allegedly trying to kidnap four children from an elementary school.
According to Broward Sheriff’s Deputies, Milor Michel, 27, was arrested Wednesday after he walked onto the campus of Park Ridge Elementary on Northwest 9th Avenue and started accosting children in the school's parking lot.
A student told a teacher, who then went to the parking lot, where she saw Michel pulling a child by the arm toward the lot's exit, officials said.
She yelled for him to stop and notified law enforcement. Deputies responded and took Michel into custody.
Michel was arrested and charged with four counts of kidnapping-false imprisonment and one count of trespassing.
In bond court Thursday, Michel denied the allegations.
"I dropped off my little cousin and when I was walking off campus a teacher walked behind me and said 'please get off campus,'" he said. "When you guys review the tapes you will see I had no child by the hand."
Michel was being held without bond Thursday and attorney information wasn't available.
