Police responded to a double shooting in northwest Miami-Dade Tuesday evening.
It happened around 8 p.m. in the 800 block of Northwest 83rd Terrace.
Miami-Dade Police said Kel Payne, 25, was taken into custody for allegedly shooting his 18-year-old sister and 24-year-old girlfriend.
According to investigators, Payne got into an argument with his sister when his girlfriend intervened. That's when police said Payne pulled out a gun and shot both women.
One victim was shot in the buttocks and the other in the leg. They were both transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Payne fled from the scene but was taken into custody without incident several blocks away. It's unclear what charges he may face.
