A man has been arrested in a Miami Beach shooting that injured an innocent bystander over the weekend, police said Tuesday.
Haneef Jamal Young, 26, is charged with aggravated battery with a firearm and discharging a firearm from a vehicle in the Saturday evening shooting.
Young was being held on $15,000 bond Tuesday, jail records showed. It's unknown if he's hired an attorney.
The shooting happened around 6:45 p.m. Saturday om the area of 12th Street and Washington Avenue.
According to an arrest report, Young got into a verbal argument with another man when the two bumped into each other on Ocean Drive.
Young got into his car and drove on 12th Street where he spotted the other man, the report said. He pulled out a gun and opened fire at the man, shooting five times, the report said.
The other man wasn't injured but an innocent bystander was hit by a bullet in the wrist, the report said. He was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center for treatment.
Young was found at his home, where officers also found a firearm, the report said.
