Man Arrested in String of Miami Beach Phone Snatchings

Pedro Perez-Ruilobas, 27, was arrested Thursday on three counts each of robbery by sudden snatching and dealing in stolen property

A man is facing multiple charges after police say he confessed to multiple phone thefts in Miami Beach.

Pedro Perez-Ruilobas, 27, was arrested Thursday on three counts each of robbery by sudden snatching and dealing in stolen property, according to an arrest report.

According to police, the first robbery happened Tuesday morning in the 1000 block of Collins Avenue when a woman was approached from behind and had her phone stolen out of her hand.

The other two robberies happened on Wednesday and Thursday, in the same manner and also on Collins Avenue, police said. The phones were later sold at the Opa-locka Flea Market, the report said.

Police released surveillance footage of the suspect on Thursday, and he was arrested hours later, officials said. Perez-Ruilobas confessed to all three robberies after he was taken into custody, the arrest report said.

Perez-Ruilobas was being held without bond Friday, jail records showed. Attorney information wasn't available.
