A man is dead after he tried to evade police following a brief chase in Sunrise, police said.
According to police, they began to chase a vehicle after it was reported stolen.
Police tried to make a traffic stop, but then a brief chase ensued.
Four of the people in the car bailed out near the area of 58th Terrace and 17th Place. Three of the people were arrested, but one person jumped into a nearby body of water.
Police said the man who jumped into the water died. A death investigation is now underway at Northwest 58th Terrace and 17th Place.
As per the alleged robbery suspects, police have not released their identities or what they are being charged with.
