Miami Police confirmed that officers arrived at the scene off Southwest 58th Avenue and 2nd Street after receiving calls of a man being shot and found the victim suffering from wounds to his arm.
Rescue crews transported the victim to Ryder Trauma Center, where he is listed in stable condition.
According to investigators, the victim and another man were involved in an altercation before the shooting took place, with officials saying the two people had a previous encounter and that one person had been detained for questioning.
Officials did not release the identity of both the victim and the person detained.
