South Florida commuter trains were delayed after authorities say an Amtrak train struck and killed a man.
A Tri-Rail spokeswoman says the man was trespassing on the tracks near the Golden Glades Tri-Rail station shortly after noon Monday when he was hit by the train.
The spokeswoman says the passenger train heading to New York was much larger than the average three-car Tri-Rail commuter train and wasn't able to stop before hitting the man.
No other injuries were reported.
