Police in Coral Gables are looking for a man who they said robbed a woman at gunpoint and then used the victim's stolen credit card.
On April 24 just before 8 p.m., police said the man held up a woman with a gun and demanded her purse in the parking garage of the Village of Merrick Park.
He ran away with her purse toward Ponce De Leon Boulevard.
Police said the man was later caught on surveillance cameras at the Target store at 21265 Biscayne Boulevard. They said he shopped using the victim's stolen credit card and was accompanied by another man. Police said they purchased gift cards, Beats headphones and clothes.
"I've had to change my house keys. I mean, he got everything out of my purse," the victim told NBC 6 over the phone. She said she thought she was going to die in the parking garage.
"I was completely dumbstruck. No words could come out, all I wanted to say was, 'Don't shoot me and don't kill me,'" the victim explained.
The suspect is described as a black male between 20 and 30 years of age. He stands between 5-feet 7-inches and 5-feet 9-inches tall and weighs anywhere from 150 to 160 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a grey hooded jacket.
Anyone with information should contact Coral Gables Police at (305) 442-1600 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
