Miami Gardens Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Monday afternoon.
It happened around 1:15 p.m. in the 4100 block of Northwest 167th Street outside a convenience store.
When officers arrived, they found the victim, 38-year-old Bered Pierre, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the initial investigation revealed Pierre was in his company vehicle when a suspect approached and opened fire on two other people who were in the parking lot.
Pierre was struck with an errant round during the shooting. One of the people who was targeted by the gunman suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound and was treated and released.
Police are asking for the public's help with information regarding this shooting or details on anyone who may have been involved.
