Man Arrested for Stealing 2 Motorcycles and a Jacket: Cops

George G. Neuner faces two counts of grand theft auto and one count of petit theft

The Broward Sheriff’s Office said they arrested the man who stole two motorcycles and a leather jacket from a Yamaha dealership in Deerfield Beach.

George G. Neuner, 44, was arrested Thursday and faces two counts of grand theft auto and one count of petit theft, according to a probable cause report.

Police say Neuner entered Riva Yamaha Motorsports at 4371 North Dixie Highway and took a set of keys from inside the building. He then went to the parking lot and rode off on a red 2007 Yamaha motorcycle.

Authorities said Neuner returned an hour later and took a leather jacket worth about $300 and a second black 2006 bike.

Neither of the stolen bikes had license plates.

When a prospective buyer wanted one of the motorcycles, owner Joe Mandas realized the bike was not there and checked his surveillance footage, the report said.

Neuner was identified through a Broward Crime Stoppers tip. He then identified himself in the still photographs, and had his girlfriend bring the leather jacket to police, according to the BSO.

The BSO said it found the two motorcycles in the back of Neuner’s apartment with stolen plates.
