Man Threatens to Blow Up Miami Springs Bank During Robbery: FBI

Police are searching for a man who was caught on camera allegedly threatening a Miami Springs bank with claims that he had a bomb.

The FBI released photographs of the incident that took place inside the Wells Fargo branch located at 4299 NW 36th Street just before 9 a.m. on Monday. Officials say the man entered the bank and demanded money from an employee before leaving.

No one was injured and the scene was cleared by bomb squad officials before it was deemed safe. The FBI would not release the amount of money that the suspect got away with.

The suspect was last seen wearing a dark colored shirt and shorts as well as a gray and black hat and glasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI or Miami-Dade CrimeStoppers.
