Police are searching for a man who tried to kidnap a 9-year-old girl as she was walking in southwest Miami-Dade, officials said.
The incident happened around 8 p.m. on Aug. 22, when the man approached the girl in a white van in the area of Southwest 10th Street and Southwest 129th Place, Miami-Dade Police said Wednesday.
"Get in the van, I'll take you home," the man told the girl, who ran away as the man tried to grab her arm.
The suspect fled the area in the van, which police said has a picture of pink lollipops with white swirls on the side.
Police released a sketch of the suspect, and are asking anyone with information to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
