We've all heard the saying it's better to give that to receive and while millions across the country feast during Thanksgiving, millions are also giving to the less fortunate like the Miami Dade Public Schools Police.
The school system's police chief hand delivered a turkey dinner to a single mother and her three kids Thursday for the holiday.
"This is the excellent example of the collaboration between our SRO's, our principal, the school police, the school district, and that's how we help families," Chief Ian Moffett said. "Its really good from the heart to be able to provide that to our family, and our students. Today is about service."
