In anticipation of the ultimate amateur night of drinking all year, one Miami group is trying to make the streets safer by giving drunks a free ride home this New Years.
The Miami-Dade Expressway Authority is partnering with AAA and Budweiser to stop New Years tipplers from driving drunk through their Tow-To-Go program.
Tow-To-Go will give anyone who calls a free ride home for themselves and their car, courtesy of a tow truck. All you have to do is call 1-800-AAA-HELP, and your night of revelry won't end tragically.
The service starts tonight and runs through Saturday. Tow-To-Go has given nearly 10,000 safe rides home since its inception in 1998, according to the MDX.
Tow-To-Go is available in Atlanta and Savannah, Ga., as well as Nashville.
