A Miami Taekwondo instructor is facing multiple molestation charges after authorities say he inappropriately touched two young sisters who attended his classes.
Rafael Negron, 64, was arrested Thursday on charges of lewd and lascivious molestation on a child under 12, lewd and lascivious molestation on a child between 12 and 16, and lewd and lascivious exhibition on a child under 16.
Negron was being held Friday without bond after an appearance in court, where he was ordered to have no contact with the sisters. It was unknown if he's hired an attorney.
No one was at the martial arts studio Friday and when NBC 6 called the number, there was no answer.
According to an arrest report, the sisters, ages 10 and 15, had been attending classes with Negron off and on for the past five years and he would sometimes pick them up from school and they would run errands with him.
The girls' mother later found inappropriate text messages on the teen's phone from Negron, the report said. Negron messaged the teen that he felt lonely and he would invite her to his place and asked her to be his baby, the report said.
The teen didn't respond to the messages but Negron later told her he wanted to be her sugar daddy and that he would spoil her if she had sex with him, the report said. He told her it could be their secret, the report said.
According to the report, the teen said Negron fondled her over her clothing, exposed himself to her and made sexual advances to her. He also kissed her on the neck and made her touch his penis, the report said.
The incidents happened while no other students were around or when they went to a park, the reports said. The younger sister also told detectives that Negron fondled her over her clothing, the report said.
Negron denied touching the girls inappropriately while speaking with detectives, the report said.
Police said there could be more victims.
"We believe he could have more victims since the majority of students who attend the school are children," Miami Police spokesman Ernest Lawrence said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
