Baseball fans will be in heaven for the next few days as festivities surrounding the 2017 MLB All-Star Game take place across South Florida.
For those who can’t make it to the events Monday and Tuesday inside Marlins Park, a trip to Miami Beach should do the trick as the All-Star Fan Fest opens Friday inside the city’s Convention Center.
Fans will get a chance to participate in interactive games and exhibits while also getting to meet some of the top current and former baseball stars.
MLB All-Star Fan Fest Already in Full Swing
The Fan Fest will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Monday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
All-Star Week also brings community service events to the area, including events featuring members of the Boys and Girls Club competing in a tournament at Bayfront Park starting at 2 p.m. and an event with Special Olympics Florida at 5 p.m.
Saturday, finalists from over a dozen states will take part in the Jr. Home Run Derby contest inside Marlins Park at 8:30 a.m., while a field dedication will take place at Charles Hadley Park starting at 10:30 a.m. featuring Hall of Famer Andre Dawson and former Marlins manager Jack McKeon.

Two members of the 1997 World Series championship team, Jeff Conine and Cliff Floyd, will participate in a 2 p.m. All-Star Military Hospitality Lounge at Miami International Airport while two 2003 championship team members, Dontrelle Willis and Mike Lowell, will take part in a Make-a-Wish event at 5:30 p.m. at the Intercontinental Miami.
The day will finish off with the first ever Electric Run 5K event at Bayfront Park starting at 8 p.m., featuring a performance by hip hop star Lil John
