More Than 2 Dozen Cars Burglarized, 2 Stolen in Davie

Police are searching for four suspects who burglarized more than two dozen cars and stole two of them in a Davie neighborhood.

The crime spree happened during the early morning hours of Sept. 12 in the Forest Ridge development, Davie Police officials said.

Officials said every vehicle that was burglarized was unlocked and the cars that were stolen had the key or key fob left inside. At one home, the thieves entered the garage after finding a garage door opener in a car.

Surveillance footage released of the suspects shows them walking through the neighborhood, checking handles for unlocked car doors. When they couldn't get in they quickly moved on.

Police are reminding people to lock their doors and remove valuables from their vehicles.
