Police say a jealous ex-boyfriend is behind the murder of a man and woman whose bodies were found Thursday inside a Miramar apartment.
Edwin Maldonado, 52, was arrested early Friday and charged with premeditated murder in the deaths of Joanna Beaudoin and Bryan Bennet, whose bodies were found by a friend around 7 a.m. yesterday at the home at Southwest 64th Ave. and 20th St.
Police said Beaudoin was at Mike's Lounge and Package Store in Miramar Wednesday night when she got into a fight with ex-boyfriend Maldonado. Beaudoin and Bennet were later found stabbed to death inside Beaudoin's apartment.
Court records show she'd taken out a restraining order on Maldonado just a couple days ago.
Maldonado is being held without bail.
