Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a pedestrian in northwest Miami-Dade.
The crash happened at around 11 p.m. May 9 in the area of NW 173rd Drive and 47th Avenue, according to Miami-Dade police. Jose L. Hernandez-Garcia, 58, was killed.
Surveillance video shows a vehicle speeding up behind Hernandez. Police said the driver fled without stopping to help or call 911.
The car should have damage to the front or left side of the vehicle. Anyone with information should call Miami-Dade detectives at 305-471-2425 or Crime Stopper at 305-471-TIPS (8477). Tipsters may be eligible for a reward of up to $3,000.
