A Miami-Dade Police officer was airlifted to the hospital after being involved in an early morning crash in Cutler Bay Monday.
The crash took place just before 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of Southwest 87th Avenue and 190th Street.
The police cruiser reportedly hit another car before slamming into a tree, pinning that officer inside of the car – however, officials have not confirmed those events.
The officer was eventually taken out of the car by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and wheeled to a nearby chopper, where he were airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital South in stable condition.
No other injuries were reported.
