A man was injured in a shooting late Thursday night in the Little Haiti neighborhood of Miami.
The gunshot victim was taken to Jackson Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center at 11:30 p.m. Thursday night in critical condition, according to Miami Fire Rescue. The shooting happened outside a home located at 5426 NW 1st Place in Little Haiti.
A witness says he heard several shots ring out just before midnight from the house where a gathering may have been taking place at the time. The witness also says there are several children who live and play nearby, as there are children's toys and a stroller strewn about in the yard of that house.
Investigators were on the scene interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence.
