Police activity has caused closures to portions of the Palmetto Expressway and Dolphin Expressway.
The following closures have been announced:
- Off-ramp is closed SR-826 Palmetto Expy South at Dolphin Expy
- SR-826 Palmetto Expy South closed between Dolphin Expy (SR-836) and Flagler St (SR-968), backed up to NW 58th St
- SR-836 Dolphin Expy West closed between NW 57th Ave/ Red Road and SR-826 Palmetto Expy, backed up to NW 37th Ave / Douglas Rd
- On-ramp closed SR-826 Palmetto Expy South at NW 36th St
According to the Florida Highway Patrol website, the incident is being labeled as "suicide."
