RECALL: Casablanca Ceiling Fans

Casablanca is recalling approximately 30,000 ceiling fans, following reports of their fan motors and blades falling, posing an injury hazard.

According to reports, the recall involves 43 models of Casablanca ceiling fans manufactured in 2013 and 2014. Casablanca has received eight reports of fan motors and blades falling, including one report of minor injury and a report of minor property damage.

Affected models have a gold label on top of the motor housing that includes “Casablanca” and a model number. The fan styles affected include: Alessandria, Aris, Bel Air, Bullet, Caneel Bay, Heritage, Isotope, Riello, Stealth, Tercera, Trident, Whitman and Zudio. Some models affected also have the Casablanca logo on the switch housing or on the end of the pull chain. Fans with a category number "A01", the last two digits of the four digit code ending in 13 or 14 and no green top of the motor housing are also included in the recall.

Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled ceiling fans and contact Casablanca for a free in-home inspection and repair.
