A security guard is police custody Sunday after he shot another guard at the Hollywood Water Treatment Plant, authorities say.
Police received a 911 call at 7 a.m. of a shooting along 3400 block of Hollywood Boulevard, according to Hollywood Police Department spokesperson Christian Lata.
Once officers arrived, they discovered one of the security guards suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say the alleged shooter is also a security guard.
Hollywood Fire Rescue transported the victim to Memorial Regional Hospital with serious injuries. The shooter was detained for questioning by police.
The guards are both employed by a private company and not the city of Hollywood.
